Description

Very beautiful, vintage 1950’s “Arranbee” “Nanette” hard plastic doll. She is 21 inches high and is a walker. When you move her legs, her head goes from side to side.  She is marked on the back of her head. She has a shiny, glued-on saran wig, blue sleep eyes with full lashes and beautiful face paint. She is wearing her complete, original outfit that consists of a pretty plaid cotton dress, with fancy collar, trimmed with delicate lace, fitted waist, with a matching tie around the waist, puffed sleeves with elastic bottoms, a full skirt with ruffles around the bottom. It snaps in the back. She has a white cotton full slip, that snaps in the back and has a lacey trim around the bottom. Green cotton panties, that have an elastic waist and elastic at the legs, nylon knit socks and black oilcloth shoes that snap on the front. Straw hat with elastic and green satin ribbon and bow decorations. I have added a vintage “Premiere” black vinyl purse, that snaps on the top and has a tiny red Scottie dog decoration on the front. This is from the same time period as the doll. I have added the red satin bows to her hair. I have replaced the elastic on the hat.  She is in excellent condition, her issues are: there are some damaged areas on the hat and she has a tiny split on the side of her head, these can be seen in the final two photos. Please examine them carefully. She is also missing the cardboard heel on one of her shoes.  Non smoking home. Payment must be made within 24 hours of end of auction.
