Late 18th/Early 19th Century Chinese Carved Huanghuali ‘HUNDRED-ANTIQUES’ Table Cabinet – 100% HANDCRAFTED – NO NAILS PARTS!
The rectangular shaped cabinet has two doors to the front that are carved and are hinged to the cabinet using wooden pegs – NO METAL PARTS USED ON THIS OLD CABINET. The two doors can be rotated and slide at an angle to remove from the cabinet. The sides continue with more carved antiques, while the three inside-back-panels are beveled.
I ran a metal detector all over and inside the cabinet – I found NO METALS!
Due to the very old age of the cabinet, the three beveled back-panels and the two front carved panel-doors are showing their age with slight shrinkage from all the temperature/humidity changes over the centuries. Hence, there are very slight gaps between the panels and the cabinet frame looking inside, but as you can see that they are not distracting and they do verify its old age. There are also light age related wear like light scuff marks but NO damage.
